Organizational Chart

The Marshall Islands Cultural and Historic Preservation Office (CHPO) is composed of a State Historic Preservation Officer (SHPO)/Director. Who is also the Chief Archaeologist. The SHPO hires a Cultural Anthropologist, a Historian/Registrar, an Intellectual Property & Copyright Specialist, a Fiscal Officer, a Grant Manager, and an Intern. The CHPO Office is divided up into three internal subdivisions. They are: Heritage Division, Administration Division, and the Information Technology Division. Please refer to the organizational structure below. All divisions play a crucial role in moving forward the Office’s mission. Every individual is important to the function of the CHPO Office. All employees, including the Council and both full and part time, need to fulfill their job functions!
